psych_30 prompt #22: "libido."
Sawyer’s all but given up knocking at her front door; he knows where the key is.
“Doin’ a round of laundry,” he announces, holding up the basket as proof. “Got anything for me?”
“Ugh,” she groans, and he spots her form lying prone on the couch. “God, seventies air-conditioners are awful. It’s like a sauna in here.” She props herself up on her arms and glares at him. “Why aren’t you sweating?”
He grins. “Grew up in Texas, didn’t I? Where are you from?”
She flops back onto the couch. “Washington state,” she mumbles.
“Well, no wonder. Y’all got no constitution up there.” She waves a hand at him but doesn’t argue with him. “And you’d think, with all that time out in the jungle, you’d be used to this kind of thing. You’re sleepin’ in a bed, gettin’ spoiled. Now, look, I’m on a timetable here. You got any laundry or not?”
When she turns to find her clothes, Sawyer can see her white shirt sticking to her in some extremely interesting (and transparent) places. As she walks away, he admires the curves of her shoulders and her hips as they sway.
Juliet returns with her three jumpsuits and a few civilian-type shirts and dumps them in his basket.
“All right, then.” He starts to turn away.
“Just a moment.” Her voice is dry, amused. “I want to wear these pants tomorrow.”
Sawyer’s eyebrows go up. Her eyes don’t leave his as she pulls her t-shirt over her head slowly and drops it onto the pile of other clothes. There is the hint of a smile on her lips as she watches him watching her.
Try as he might, he can’t help it: his eyes rake down the length of her exposed body. Her skin was always pale, but now that she’s spending so much of her time in the sun she’s beginning to darken, just the hint of the tan appropriate to jungle-dwellers. She shakes out her golden hair, and it spills over her bra straps. Her breasts are just the right size - a handful each, just perfect, and Sawyer is seized with the desire to throw down the laundry hamper.
But she isn’t done. Of course she isn’t. Her small hands dip below her navel and he hears a soft pop as the button comes undone, and he has to hold back a groan as she shimmies out of her pants, lets them slip down her thighs to pool at her feet, agonizingly slow.
She smiles at him, feigning unawareness (she must be, she’s not a stupid woman), as she folds the pair of pants and places them on top of the stack, leaving on her bra and panties. “Thank you, James.”
He raises an eyebrow, and is suddenly grateful for the presence of the basket. “Don’t you have more to give me?” If she's gonna torture him, she damn well better do it right.
“You know,” she says thoughtfully, “I really think that’s all.” She smiles again and touches her fingers to the rim of the basket. “Be back tonight with those?”
“I’ll be back,” he assures her, and watches as she walks away.
