recs: heroes - peter/claire (1)
Today, I bring you recs featuring the pairing Peter/Claire from Heroes.
FWIW, you should assume that all of the following stories contain incest/incestuous content.
#493 (Granite Rose) by
svilleficrecs (R; 1300 words)
"He watches her with an artist's attention to detail."
Peter draws his future with Claire. It's short, but it packs a punch. There's a great build-up to his the reveal: taking advantage of Peter's S1 power to draw the future, we figure out that what colors he's using are important pieces of foreshadowing, not to mention the progression of the pictures themselves as he thumbs through them afterward.

misfit_fandoms (R; 3,100 words)
"Things aren't always as they seem."
A Volume Three AU, in which Claire becomes a Company agent. It's wonderful Peter gen, a truly heartbreaking character study. With a wonderful twist at the end.
Five Cities They Never Lived In (And One Where They Almost Died) by
holycitygirl (unrated; 1300 words)
"The bomb blew, but Claire waited. Five years on the run can be complicated."
An AU, in which Peter and Claire live under fake names and fake relationships. They're brother-and-sister, but underneath the false veneer of their lives, there's an undercurrent of tension that's impossible to ignore. I'm also a sucker for a fantastic last line, and this one delivers.

svilleficrecs (NC17; 22,000 words)
"He doesn't hear the door open, but he does hear it shut."
Peter and Claire explore the ramifications of the regenerative power. I love the way the author has obviously thought out regeneration, its effects on the body, how it makes Peter and Claire feel to be regrown from air. It's sexy, filled with tension, and again with the great ending.
The Elegy Season by
andbless_mybaby (NC17; 4700 words)
"AU after the S1 finale. Claire and Peter are the last two people alive in New York City."
In this the author investigates an alternate future in which Peter exploded in Kirby Plaza - not Five Years Gone, but something else. Peter and Claire are the only survivors of the bomb and find each other in the desolation. Nigh-apocalyptic in tone, it is a story of both ruination and hope. Also, the sex is fantastic.
The Long Wait Till Judgment by
marble_rose (hard R; 6100 words)
"They’re the definition of star-crossed lovers; Romeo and Juliet have nothing on them. At least those two could die and put themselves out of their misery."
Claire and Peter have to deal with their attraction to one another with their family around. Explores the social/familial ramifications of incest, which tends to be rare in incest-fic.
Until I Sleep by
boombangbing's fic journal
misfit_fandoms (PG13; 5600 words)
"Claire goes through many 'generations' in her immortal life. They shape her and make her and in a changing universe maybe she'll never stop growing."
Claire in space.
Enough said.
